Assessment Process & Price
No need for a clinical referral. Submit an enquiry about an autism assessment for you or your child, and receive personalised advice from our support team to guide you through our process.
Stage 1: Get in touch
We would love to talk to you about your autism assessment.
You can call us on 01302 630444 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday or if more convenient, you can fill in our short enquiry form and we will reach out to you at a time and in a way that suits you. You can also message us via our social media channels.
Stage 2: Discuss your assessment with us
We will communicate with you in the way that suits you best.
Before arranging your assessment we will chat with you to ensure that the assessment meets your needs and circumstances.
Not sure if an autism assessment is the right thing for you? No problem. We can arrange for one of our clinical leads to discuss with you; they will explore whether an autism assessment is indicated.
Stage 3: Background information
We will begin the assessment by gathering background information.
We use a variety of evidence based questionnaires, which are selected based on personal circumstances.
If the assessment is for a child, we will also liaise with their school (with your permission of course).
We are more than happy to help you to complete your background information. We are always on hand to provide help and support.
Stage 4: Assessment Sessions
An autism assessment involves two assessment sessions. We will arrange the appointments at a time that suits you. One session is a semi-structured observation session and the other is a history based interview. We use internationally recognised, gold standard assessment tools which will be selected based on individual circumstances. The tools we use and our process meets the criteria set out in the NICE and SIGN guidelines.
Stage 5: Outcome & Advice
Our multi-disciplinary clinical team will review all the information gathered to determine a diagnostic outcome. We will then arrange a feedback meeting for you with one of our clinicians to answer any questions you have, and advise on next steps for you or your child.
We will also provide a detailed report summarising our diagnostic findings, with a record of all the information gathered.
Assessment Price £1995
We provide recognised assessments for private clients from across the UK. The cost of a Veritas assessment will not be covered by the NHS. Payments are made securely through Stripe, either upfront or in two payments over three months.

In-Person or Online
For adults and children over the age of 9, we offer the option of full online assessments or part online, part in-clinic assessment. We will need to see children under 9 in person at one of our clinics.
